Srinagar Criminals targeted a pregnant lady this time in Magam area of Central Kashmir, chopped off her braid and before escaping snatched her gold chain as well.
Reports said that two unidentified criminals masquerading as beggars entered into the house of one Munir Hussain at Mulbuchhan village.
Witnesses said that while finding the lady alone in the house, they sprayed some chemicals on her face as a result she lost consciousness. The criminals not only stole her golden chain but also chopped off her braid, they said.
The incident created panic in the village.
Another braid chopping incident occurred at Laddi village of Shopian district in South Kashmir. The victim was identified as Sabi Jan daughter of Reyaz Ahmed.
The unabated braid chopping incidents have spread fear across Kashmir while police has utterly failed to crack a single case so far.
