SrinagarArmy Monday said it foiled two separate infiltration attempts in Baramulla and Kupwara districts in north Kashmir killing at least six intruders.
Four militants were killed in Tangdhar sector in Kupwara district, while two militants were killed in a gunfight as Army foiled another infiltration bid in Baramulla district.
An infiltration bid was foiled in Rampur Uri sector, 110 km from here, when soldiers noticed the movement of armed militants. The militants were challenged and they opened fire triggering a gunfight.
Meanwhile, another infiltration bid was foiled in Tangdhar sector of frontier Kupwara district when soldiers along the Line of Control noticed suspicious movement in the wee hours of Monday.
