AnantnagDuring his three days extensive tour to his constituency MLA Kokernag Abdul Rahim Rather, conducted a series of meetings with the officers of various departments and met with many delegations of people at various places. He conducted two separate meetings with the officers and the officials of the Rural Development Department of block Larnoo and Breng at Larnoo and Kokernag respectively on 27th September which was also participated by the ACD Anantnag Nisar Ahmad Nisar. On the same day he covened a meeting with the party workers of Block Larnoo at Larnoo. He also conducted a session of interaction between the public and the officers and the officials of the Rural Development Departments at Kokernag to sort out the grievances and issues faced by the people.
He conducted similar meetings and interactions with the RDD blocks of Sagam and Achabal on 28th September in which the SDM Kokernag Rouf ur Rehman also participated. He impressed upon the officers and the subordinate staff of the Rural Development Department to adopt a people friendly approach with the public and serve the people in the best possible manner. He asked them to take their duty as a mission and leave no stone unturned in the service of the public. He asked the Panchayat Secretaries (VLWs) and the GRSs to be available at their respective Panchayat Ghars for the people. He said that Job Cards should be given to every deserving one and the participation of maximum number of people in the execution of works should get assured. He said that the works should be started at an early without any delay and similarly there should be no delay in making the payments of the executed ones. He asked the BDOs of all the blocks to submit a copy of the monthly progress report to him so that equal development of various halqas is monitored and assured.
MLA inspected the sites proposed for construction of two Coffee Houses at Kokernag by the KDA. He inspected the buildings of SDH Kokernag and informed that the macdemisation of the road and compound of the hospital will be taken up shortly. He visited the proposed site for the Bus Stand at Kokernag and listened to the concerns of the land owners and the nearby residents. He visited the Bidder Dromdalaw Road and asked the Chief Executive Officer KDA to take up its construction at an early. He latter visited Naropora and Watnard to select the site for the construction of the newly sanctioned PHC there. He was accompanied by the SDM Kokernag, CEO KDA , BMO Larnoo, E.O Muncipality and the officers and engineers from R&B and KDA, MCA Kokernag and others.
MLA also attended a tournament organised by the NYK at Degree College Kokernag and distributed the awards and Trophies among the winning teams.
