SrinagarGovernment College for Women, M.A Road Srinagar in collaboration with Cluster University Srinagar today organized a 2-day National Workshop on Advances in Cell and Molecular Biology.
The chief guest on the occasion, Dr Sheikh Javaid, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Srinagar, said the world is witnessing changes in terms of understanding of science and these workshop will help the students to understand the basic knowledge outside their laboratories and classrooms.
These workshops provide them platform to think beyond theoretical Knowledge, Dr Javaid said. Here they can express their view points and it will help them to go for further research. In next three months, the chief guest said Cluster University will also organise more such types of fully-funded workshops.
During the function, Director Colleges, Prof. Tibetbaqal, said the workshop will provide platform for the students to learn about the advances in cell and molecular biology as the eminent scientists and scholars will share their knowledge and research with the students.
During her welcome address, Prof. Shaheen Altaf welcomed all the participants, scholars and guests. Womens College, M.A Road has always been at the forefront in terms of academics and will not leave any stone unturned to provide knowledge through various workshops or any other techniques of modern times, Prof. Altaf said.
At the end of the function, a Newsletter titled Souvenir was launched.
