SrinagarThe Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Thursday issued a notice to Principal Secretary to Government Power Development Department and others to show-cause why contempt of court proceedings shall not be initiated against them.
Hearing a contempt petition filed by a Junior Engineer in PDD Abdul Aziz Shah, a single bench Justice Magrey held that the case for contempt against Principal Secretary to Government Power Development Department, Sandeep Naik, Development Commissioner Power, Gul Ayaz Sheikh, and Commissioner Secretary to Government Power Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta, is made out as such the court is left with no option to proceed against these officials.
Registry to frame Rule against the respondents, who shall submit the reply to show cause as to why they shall not be punished for contempt of the court with four weeks, the court said while hearing a petition by Aziz regarding service matter.
