Budgam: Indian civil society activist, O.P.Shaw on Saturday organized a Round Table Discussion at the residence of senior Hurriyat leader Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi in Budgam.
During the discussion the participants while laying stress on the resolution of Kashmir issue maintained that the uncertainty in Valley will prevail until and unless government of India doesnt take the issue seriously and resolve it.
The participants alleged that government of India has been sidelining the core Kashmir issue and has been wasting time and energy on other immaterial issues.
We categorically informed OP Shaw that Kashmir is a political issue that needs to be resolved as per the aspirations of people of Kashmir. Development and erosion of special status cant bring peace in Kashmir, but the final resolution will, Aga Syed Hasan told news agency CNS adding that Shaw was informed that people of Kashmir have no animosity with Indian public but only want a resolution of the long standing issue that has been claiming innocent lives on daily basis.
O.P Shaw while confirming his meeting with Shia group said that he is in Kashmir on a ‘mission’. Government of India needs to be serious and take steps in the final resolution of this long pending problem, Shaw said and added that before this meet with Shia community, he talked to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Professor Abdul Gani Bhat.
I am in Kashmir till 21st of this month and on Sunday I will organize Round Table Discussion on Kashmir issue in South Kashmirs Anantnag district, he said.
