SRINAGAR: Stating that people of Kashmir deserve life without violence, the J&K Police Chief S P Vaid Saturday said that despite facing tough times, the state police is trying hard to bring normalcy in the valley.
The DGP also said that police is counseling the misguided valley youth to prevent them from indulging in unlawful activities.
DGP said, that over the years the police has faced tough times to deal with the militants and while maintaining law and order in the Valley.
He said that the J&K Police has been at the forefront in dealing with the militants like other security forces and many of our men have sacrificed their lives to bring normalcy to the Valley.
The DGP further said that police is trying best to change the minds of misguided youth. It is also the responsibility of the parents and society to guide their children. We are identifying the children vulnerable to inimical propaganda and started counseling them so that these kids do not indulge in any unlawful activity, Vaid said. KNS
