SrinagarDivisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Tuesday visited new Parimpora Bus terminal to review rehabilitation plan for traders affected due to shifting of the stand from Batamaloo Bus Stand.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Superintending Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer SMC, Deputy Director JKSRTC, SP Traffic, Officers from SDA and other officials accompanied the Divisional Commissioner.
It was said that a total of 71 kanals of land has been earmarked for New Parimpora Bus Stand and 34 kanals of land is available for the affected traders.
The Divisional Commissioner directed R&B Department to demarcate 25 kanals of land for rehabilitation purposes and prepare a DPR regarding the same within a week so that the draft of the comprehensive rehabilitation plan is prepared immediately for the benefit of affected traders.
He said under this comprehensive rehabilitation plan, all affected shopkeepers and other persons whose trading activities might have suffered will be properly rehabilitated at the New Parimpora Bus Stand area soon.
