SrinagarThe Joint Resistance Leadership will leave for New Delhi Saturday to court arrest before NIA Headquarters and to stage protest sit-in against NIA raids.
JRL in a statement said that Mirwaiz and Malik will reach Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelanis residence at Hyderpora first and then will proceed towards New Delhi at 1 pm. Their fight is scheduled at 3 pm Saturday from Srinagar Airport.
Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had on Wednesday in a joint press conference announced to fly to New Delhi to protest NIA raids and court arrest before NIA headquarters.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday had told KNS that they will allow the separatists to proceed to New Delhi.
Earlier, today JKLF chairman Yasin Malik was released by the authorities from Central Jail where he was lodged yesterday.
Let Them Move to Delhi: DGP
The state government Friday set free JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik sending a clear signal that it was not averse to Joint Resistance Leadership traveling to Delhi on Saturday.
Malik was released from the Central Jail in Srinagar where he was lodged a day earlier after his arrest.
With his release, the state government has made its intensions clear that it would allow the separatist leaders to leave for New Delhi to court arrest at the NIA headquarters.
Kashmir police chief SP Vaid said the separatists would be allowed to move to New Delhi.
