AnantnagPolice here said on Tuesday a girl kidnapped from Pahalgam was recovered from Jammu and her abductor arrested.
Giving details, police said, on 3rd of September 2017, Police Station Pahalgam received a written complaint from Ghulam Hassan Wani resident of Kullar Pahalgam that his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Farooq Ahmad Thaka son of Mohammad Yousuf Thaka resident of Ashmuqam Pahalgam.
Accordingly, a case FIR number 65/2017 under section 363/RPC was registered and investigation was set into motion.
After strenuous efforts, Anantnag police recovered the kidnapped girl from Jammu and arrested the accused. The girl was handed over to her parents after completion of all legal formalities.
