SrinagarThe Government Monday constituted an official panel to formulate a comprehensive proposal for revamping the Information Department in light of the fast-changing media scenario.
To be headed by the Administrative Secretary, Information Department, the five-member Committee shall include Director Information, Joint Director Information (Hqrs), Joint Director Information Jammu and Joint Director Information, Kashmir as Members. The Committee shall submit its report within 15 days.
The revamping of DIPR shall include streamlining and strengthening the existing systems, besides adopting latest technologies to meet the growing demands of the information dissemination. The focus of the Committee shall be on strengthening the PR, audio visual and digital media wings in the Department to ensure prompt and efficient information dissemination.
