ShopianTo assess the quality of medical services, punctuality and patient care District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz paid a surprise visit to the district hospital Shopian in the early Monday morning and inspected various wards of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients. In order to get first hand feedback he interacted with patients and enquired about the level of services provided to them on time.
During surprise inspection an employee of USG Section was found absent from the Testing Lab. DDC directed Medical Superintendent to withheld the salary. Further it was observed that Dermatologist was placed in night duty roster. DDC directed the Medical superintendent and an alternative Medical Officer was deputed to attend the patient immediately.
DDC exhorted upon the superintendent to ensure that roster is strictly followed and patients should be served with utmost dedication and sincerity. He stressed on the cleanliness of the Wards and corridors besides maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital. DDC impressed upon the entire medical staff to provide patient centred care and patient should be made to feel that Health system is for them and with them.
Later on DDC also took a stock of ongoing works and ANMT school.
