SrinagarDistrict Development Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Lone Wednesday convened a meeting to review the Developmental activities in the District.
It was informed in the meeting that in addition to the projects already sanctioned under Special Area Development Programme (SADP), Government has sanctioned additional Rs 4.0967 crores for various developmental projects.
The projects for which approval has been conveyed include one crore for Construction of extension block (Noorkhana) of Peer Dastgeer Sahib (RA) Shrine , Rs: 58 Lacs for providing of essential life saving equipments for Department of Cardiology & ENT of GMC Srinagar, Rs. 110 Lacs for establishment of Synthetic Basket Ball/Volley Ball Courts at GHSS Zadibal, GHSS Nawakadal, HSS Rainawari, SP,HSS MA Road and HSS Shalimar, Rs. 22 Lacs for construction of three all weather Pre-fabricated Huts at Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Government College of Education, MA Road Srinagar, Rs. 50 Lacs for (Construction of 1×30 Mts) ( Single Land 4.25) trussed girder Bridge with RCC decking at Bagh-i-Mehtab connecting bund road Rawalpora with Srinagar Charisharief Road, Rs: 7 Lacs for installation, testing and commissioning of 100 KV, AVR Voltage Stabilizer at Gousia Hospital Khanyar and Rs, 43 Lacs for creation of sub stations at various locations in the District.
The District Development Commissioner asked the concerned executing Agencies to ensure speedy execution of the sanctioned projects with strict quality control so that benefits accrue to the general public at the earliest.
