SrinagarThe Concerned Citizens Group, led by former minister and BJP leader Yashwant Sinha will be here on a two-day visit. The group aims to restart their efforts for dialogue and peace in the state.
Sinha said that the team comprising of Kapil Kak AVM (R), Bharat Bhushan, Editor Catch News and Sushobha Barve, head of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation will start the visit from Thursday.
We have arrived here again to continue our efforts for peace and dialogue. We will meet a lot of people in two days. The meeting will take place on 17 and 18 August, Sinha told news agency KNS, without revealing the names of people they plan to meet.
Earlier, the group had met Hurriyat leaders and unionist political parties besides civil society activists during their previous visits in October last year.
The group had last year visited the Valley during summer uprising to assess the situation. They had later presented their report to President. However they were given a cold shoulder by the BJP-led government in New Delhi.
