ShopianDistrict Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting to review functioning and performance of different functionaries of Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM). The meeting also took stock of the Preparedness for Learners Assessment test scheduled to be held on August 20, 2017.
Nodal Officer SBM Shopian, Zonal Education Officers from Shopian, Zainapora, Keegam, and Imamsahib zones, all SBM In-charges at BLSS level, all DLCs and BLCs attended the meeting. Nodal Officer SBM Shopian gave a presentation on the achievements made during the past one year.
The DDC, who is also chairman SBM Shopian, appreciated the efforts of all functionaries towards bringing a great transformation in the functioning of the programme since last one year.
He stressed on the need for smooth communication of information and activities performed by different functionaries in the district. He also laid emphasis on the conduct of monitoring of various SBM functions at Panchayat level and reporting of the same to ZLSS on the timely basis.
Further, the meeting was informed that over 8000 learners have been enrolled and 141 examination centres have been established for the Learners Assessment test scheduled on August 20 (Sunday).
