SurankoteAppealing people of Jammu and Kashmir to get united and stop Government of India from scrapping Article 35 A that bars a non-state subject from purchasing land and acquire job in Jammu and Kashmir, lawyers from Pir Panjal region of Jammu Tuesday said that the proposed abrogation will not only hit Kashmir but also will affect Jammu and Ladakh.
Some extremists have challenged this article in the court of Law. It will be disastrous for us all if this article is scrapped. Even business community of Jammu will suffer. We should fight against the proposed scrapping of this article, president Bar Association Surankote Advocate Yasir Janjua told reporters.
He said it is a do or die situation for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We appeal people of Surankote to get united and fight against this conspiracy, he said.
They said that move is aimed at to change the demographic character of the State.
