HC orders filling up of staff in e-courts without any delay

Srinagar—The district court complex at Mominabad Tengpora here would be finally inaugurated by Chief Justice this weekend.

Also, the Jammu and High Court on Tuesday directed the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs department to complete the proposal of Registrar General regarding creation of posts for e-court, “without any delay”

A division bench of the high court comprising Chief Justice Badar Durez Ahmad and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey passed the direction after hearing counsel representing High Court who submitted that proposals for creation of various posts has been sent to the department by the Registrar General of High Court with a request that the proposals should see the light of the day at the earliest.

“These proposals shall be completed immediately without any further delay. Law department shall not wait for further proposals,” the court said. The division bench was also informed that the new district court complex at Moomin-Abad, Batmaloo was complete in all respects. “The complex shall be inaugurated on July 29,” The chief justice said.

An official said that there was target of constructing 310 lawyers’ chambers in two phases at an estimated cost of Rs 1547.25 lakh at Mominabad.

The Court has also been informed about the construction work at district court Bandipora and state counsel in this connection submitted that negotiations have been done with those whose land has been acquired and court will be informed about the handing and taking over of acquired land by next date.
