SrinagarThe Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Monday chaired a meeting during which he directed the Police Department to ensure smooth movement of cement laden trucks of State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC).
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, Managing Director JKSRTC, Managing Director JK Cements Limited, GM SICOP, SP Awantipora, SHO Khrew, Representatives of Zaffron Truck Union and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
Various issues were discussed threadbare regarding the hassle-free supply of JK Cement across the Valley including Leh and Kargil districts of frontier Ladakh region.
The Div Com directed Police officials to ensure smooth movement of cement laden trucks and deal strictly as per law against those creating impediments in their movement.
He directed ADC Pulwama to sort all issues and submit the complete report within 10 days.
Khan stressed upon the MD JK Cement Limited to ensure buffer stock of Cement and MD JKSRTC was asked to keep available trucks for Kargil and Leh districts so that people of the region are able to use cement in their construction work in their working season.
He also asked all concerned Departments to work in close coordination so that the hassle-free supply of cement is ensured in all regions of the State.
