SrinagarJammu and Kashmir State Sports Councils seven-day self defence camp for girls continued fifth day at Indoor Sports Stadium, Srinagar, a statement from the JK SSC said on Monday.
According to the statement, more than 300 girl students from age-group four to eighteen years are being trained at the camp. They are getting trained by Taekwondo coaches Mansha Bashir and Sheikh Muzaffar.
Secretary Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said that it was important for everyone to get training of self defence in the present scenario.
More camps of self defence for girls will continue in future also, he said.
According to the statement, the students have shown a great interest and desire to be part of the camp.
They said that it is the dedication that will lead them to strengthen their aspirations towards sports. They urged sports council to continue such camps in future also. The camp started on July 10.
