She said that Khan had married two times before marrying her in 2015. Tabish said Khan was threatening her and her family members. He used to threaten me. He used to say that he will throw acid on me if I agitate against his will of marriage, Tabish said.
She said, latter at Khans home, she was tortured, abused for dowry by Khan and his family members. I was beaten, abused at Khans home. They demand dowry. They never allowed me to go back to my parents, she said.
The parents of Tabish moved to High Court for justice after police refused to take action. The court directed Tabish to stay with her parents after finding forcible marriage. But the Khans family continues to harass her and her parents, demanding girl should be handed over to them, said sister of Tabish.
Tabish with tears in her eyes demanded intervention of law enforcing agencies to deal strictly with Khan and his family. She said that they are violating court orders and are forcing her to continue marriage without her consent.
Station House Officer (SHO), Nowgam, Sheikh Manzoor Ahmad said that the girl has been handed over to the family as per court directions. He said that the accused is behind bars.
However he said there was no complaint of abduction or forcible marriage nor any complaint of violence by the parents or girl herself in 2015. He said police recently received missing report, registered FIR and the girl was immediately recovered, handed over to the family. Agencies
