SrinagarHuriyat (G) Friday condemned the arrest spree ahead of first anniversary of Commander Burhan Wani and added that hundreds of resistance activists were arrested and detained in different police stations.
Demanding immediate release of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai ,Peer Saif Ullah ,Altaf Ahmad Shah , Raja Meraj u Din , Ayaz Akbar , Mohammad Ashraf Laya , Tashhoq Ahmad Bandey , Bashir Ahmad Faroqi, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder , Mohammad Amin Sofi , Mohamad Maqbool Tantrey , Huriyat Conference in a statement strongly condemned their continuous detention & said that 75 year old Mohd Subhan Wani ,Haji Mohd Rustum Bhat , Mufti Ab Ahad Rather , Mohd Amin Parey , Ab Ahad Para, Mohd Ashraf Malik , and Zafar ul Islam were slapped with one more PSA and shifted to Kathua jail.
Lashing at PDP led coalition, Huriyat said that they have declared war against people of state. This is frustration on part of authorities, said Hurriyat and added that the PDP-led administration in its slavery of New Delhi has trashed every kind of ethics and morality.
Condemning the arrest spree across the Valley, the spokesman said that ahead of anniversary of slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani, scores of resistance leaders and activists were arrested and motor bikes seized.
They have virtually turned valley into a military garrison, and added that it is martial law like situation in state, he said.
Lashing at administration, Huriyat (G) said that continuous house detention of Syed Ali Geelani tantamount to interference in religious matters. It is unacceptable. This is basic cause for turmoil situation in state, said Huriyat and added that the situation is turning from bad to worst and it is the main reason for political uncertainty in state.
