BudgamShabir Ali proved to be the star as Al Shar Chattergam beat Jahama Cricket Club by six wickets in their Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial Cricket Tournament 2017 fixture played at Sports Stadium Budgam on Monday.
Batting first, Jahama Cricket Club were bowled out for 143. Al-Shar Chattergam were steady in their chase thanks to Shabir reaching the target in 19.3 overs with the losss of just four wickets. Shabir stroked a solid 56 to see his side home. He was given man of the match award for match winning knock.
All-rounder Waseem Raza played a crucial role both with bat and ball in the hand as his side Rising Star Paller thumped WahabPora Cricket Club by nine wickets in the second fixture of the day.
Wahabpora Cricket Club were skittled out for a nothing 109 inside 16 overs with Raza emerging as the pick of the bowlers.
He then shone with the bat during the chase making a quickfire 38 as his side scaled down the target in 11.3 overs losing juts one wicket. He was duly given man of the match award.
