SrinagarSrinagar police solved a theft case and recovered stolen cash of Rupees 3,72,000 and 400 Euros from the culprit.
A Tourist namely Christain Cornelis Jacopus resident of Netherlands reported in Police Station Nishat with a complaint regarding the theft of money from his guest house in Ishbar.
A case was registered in Police Station and investigation was set into motion.
A SIT under the supervision of SDPO Nehru Park Owais Rashid and headed by SHO P/S Nishat Aashiq Hussain was formed.
During the course of investigation, it was revealed that a woman, who was working as house maid had stolen the cash from the tourist.
On her disclosure cash of rupees 3,72,000 and 400 Euros was recovered,
A case FIR number 26/17 under section 381 was registered against her and investigation was taken up.
