Poonch: Official record at office of the Block Development Officer (BDO) Mendhar area of Poonch district gutted completely in a mysterious fire blaze on Wednesday night, official sources said today.
They said that during intervening night of 21/22 June, fire broke inside office room of Senior Accountants Officer and gutted entire official record including bills, cash book and other important documents pertaining to MGNERAGA.
Today in the morning, all the labourers of the block took to streets and blocked the road for several hours against the incident.
The protesting labourers alleged that the gutting of whole record is a well planned conspiracy and demanded enquiry into the incident.
DC Poonch when contacted told GNS that they have constituted a team to probe the fire incident.
The cause of fire is being ascertained and all angles would be looked into to identify those behind this terrible incident, DC said. (GNS)
