On this day voices of protest would be raised in Mosques, Khanqas, Shrines and Imambargahs across kashmir Valley against continued occupation of Bait-ul-Muqadas and Masjid-e-Aqsa and against the atrocities being committed by Indian forces on people of Kashmir, a joint statement said.
A resolution in this regard would also be presented in the gatherings for the endorsement of the people.
Leadership, comprising of Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, heads of two factions of the multi party Hurriyat Conference and Muhammad Yasin Malik chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) further said that where the people of Palestine have been struggling for the past many decades the people of Kashmir too have been giving huge sacrifices in terms of life and property for the exercise of the right to self determination.
The leadership has expressed dismay over the indifference of the International community towards these burning issues. They said that these two issues have a quite resemblance, where issue of Palestine has been posing threat to the peace of entire Middle East, the unresolved Kashmir issue is a big challenge for the permanent peace and stability of South Asia. In both regions the people are facing aggression and as a result human lives are lost and grave human rights violations are being committed on regular basis.
The leadership stressed upon the United Nations, OIC and other countries of the international community to play a positive role in the resolution of both these issues.
