SrinagarDeputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone today reviewed the arrangements for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in an officers meeting today.
The meeting was attended by ADC, SDM and the officers of CA&PD, PDD, PHE, R&B, Health, Veterinary, Police, Fire and Emergency Services, SMC besides other concerned officers of various departments also attended the meeting.
The District Development Commissioner stressed the concerned authorities for ensuring proper sanitation around Eid Gahs, Masjids, installing LED lamps besides keeping available medical facilities at the places where big congregation takes place. He directed the Municipal authorities to put in place 25 grass cutters at Eid Gah Srinagar to make the ground smooth and ensure its cleanliness.
The market checking squads were directed to intensify the checking of illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items and take actions against the culprits on the spot.
Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities.
The authorities of Veterinary Department informed the meeting that the department has kept available veterinary mobile trucks at various places of Srinagar city which contain dressed chicken @ 190/kg and undressed chicken @120/kg.
District Development Commissioner directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted/scheduled power and drinking water supply during festival days.
