TralTaking cognezence of reports from daily Kashmir Observer over power crisis, the authorities Saturday comissioned a transformer at Grid Station Awantipora in South Kashmir, giving a sigh of relief to the people of the area.
According officials, the Grid station is operational now with full capacity after steady hardwork of the staff for more than a week.
Earlier, the people of about 140 villages , expressed resentment against the Power Development Department for failing to restore electricity in the area, which continued for more than a week.
Soon after it, The PDD Department including high officials and employees worked hard and finally on saturday, they made the grid station functional for people and thanked them for their cooperation.
“There won’t be erratic power supply any more In Sha Allah from now in the area. PDD is highly thankful to people for their cooperation during the time of power crises” said Junior Engineer Mr Shabir Ahmad Ahanger.
Meanwhile, Asistant Executive Engineer, Tral, Muhammad Maqbool told Kashmir Observer that they would monitor the lines and try their best to serve people best in the month of Ramadhan. He also hailed the support of the people for their cooperation.
