SRINAGAR: Syed Rizwan emerged as the batting star as FCC edged past Sheikh Ul Alam Sheikhpora by 15 runs in their Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial Cricket Tournament fixture played at Budgam Sports Satdium, Budgam on Tuesday.
Rizwan hit a sparkling 72 consuming just 38 balls to power his side to a mammoth 197 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. He played shots all-round the ground.
Sheikh Ul Alam Sheikhpora made a god fist of the chase falling short by just 15 runs. They were all-out for 182 in the 19th over.
Syed Rizwan walked away with the man of the match award.
