SrinagarDivisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Friday convened a meeting to review the shifting of Dachigam sheep breeding farm to Khimbar.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Sheep Husbandry, Regional Chief Wildlife Warden, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officials were present in this meeting.
Meeting was informed that 278 kanals of land were identified and demarcated by the revenue officials and additional 200 kanals of adjoining land has been identified as per request from Sheep Husbandry department.
It was further informed that live stock of Sheep Husbandry department has already been shifted to another place.
Div Com directed the revenue officers to complete all legal formalities of transfer of 478 kanals of land at Khimbar and immediately hand over the land to the Sheep Husbandry department.
He also directed R&B engineers to complete the evaluation process of raw material and assets of Sheep Breeding farm at Dachigaam within three days after which Sheep Husbandry department will shift all assets within five days and handover the site to Wildlife department immediately.
Div Com asked Additional Deputy Commissioner to submit a complete report to their office for the said matter after eight days.
