AwantiporaThe overnight windstorm caused massive damage to orchards, trees and residential houses at Rajpora area of Awantipora in south Kashmirs Pulwama district.
Local residents told Kashmir Observer that the windstorm hit Rajpora area and it’s adjoining areas, early in the morning today, causing damage to public property there.
They said that rooftop of one of the poor family was also destroyed by the windstorm while as many trees were also uprooted in the area.
The windstorm caused intense damage to the orchards filled with apples and uprooted hundreds of trees, the locals said.
The windstorm created fear and panic among residents and confined to their houses.
The power supply was also hit due to the windstorm , reports said.
