SrinagarHurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday claimed that the authorities at the helm were looking for excuses to create 90s like situation in the state to justify the use of lethal weapons against unarmed and innocent youth.
This arrogance, haughtiness and persistent denial cant hold water for long and New Delhi must come to terms with the writing on the wall, Geelani said in a press statement after he was barred by police from holding a press conference.
Geelani blamed Delhi for her rigid and stubborn approach and said that its insensitivity was the sole reason for this unabated bloodshed.
They are mercilessly killing our youth and on one pretext or the other and with their brute force are pushing youth to wall.
Our economy has always remained easy target & it is their well thought out ploy to make every soul here dependent, asserted Geelani.
They want to cripple our economy and crush our economic infrastructure. They are very desperate to see us holding begging bowel, Geelani said.
Asking Indian authorities to shun rigid and stubborn approach and fulfil their commitment with the people, Geelani said that Kashmir was a political and humane issue and as such military might or coercive measures wont solve this.
