SrinagarRenowned Hotelier and businessman from Kashmir Valley, Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya Saturday termed the news reports baseless that any National Investigation Team (NIA) has raided his residential house.
He warned of legal action against some New Delhi based news channels for maligning his image. Some New Delhi based news channels are falsely reporting about an NIA raid on my residence. It is totally baseless as no such raid has taken place, Chaya said.
He said that some Indian news channels are spreading lies. Chaya, who is Hoteliers Club president, warned of legal action against these channels, saying that they were defaming him by false reporting.
Pertinently, NIA team is present in Valley and they have raided many houses so far in connection with alleged funding received by separatist groups for fueling unrest in the Valley.
Meanwhile, another businessman and social activist Manzoor Ahmed Wangnoo also refuted the allegations that any such raid has been conducted at his house or any showroom. Such news reports are baseless, he said. (CNS)
