Srinagar: Noted laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgeon of Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Chalkoo will deliver a keynote talk on his innovation – Chalkoo Technique in Minilap Cholecystectomy in world congress of surgeons in Kuala Lumpur.
A fellow of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and Fellow of the Indian Hernia Society, he teaches MBBS and postgraduate doctors at the Government Medical College, Srinagar.
The three-day congress of surgeons and anaesthesia will be held in Kulalumpur from May 15, where significance of Chalkoo’s Point in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy will be discussed, a statement issued by the Congress said.
Chalkoo is also one of the organising committee members of the event. He is editor and editorial board member of more than fifteen international journals of surgery inclusive of world journal of gastrointestinal surgery linked to Pubmed.
Chalkoo said he has published more than 50 scientific papers, reviewed more than twenty international papers and presented more than seventy papers in different national and international academic forums. He is enrolled in worlds who is who, 15th edition on his contributions to laparoscopy and minimal access surgery.
