SRINAGAR: Owais Shah-the all-rounder-shone both with the bat and ball as Gousia Sheikhpora comfortably beat FCC Falchil in the second semi-final of Budgam Premier League played at Sheikhpora playground on Monday.
The match turned out to be a lopsided tie with Gousia Shiekhpora brining their A game to the fore in the all important game to book their place in the summit clash.
FCC Falchil gave a good account of themselves during their batting managing a score of 150 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Owais took two wickets for Gousia Sheikhpora.
Gousia Sheikhpora didnt have to sweat during their chase and under no pressure whatsoever romped home to the target. It took them just 16.4 overs to overhaul the target. Asif Khan made a solid 45 but it was Owais whose fireworks ensured Gousia Sheikhpora had a comfortable entry to the finals. He made a quickfire 55.
He was deservingly given the man of the match award.
