Militants Fire at Army ‘Survey’ Team in Tral

Tral: Suspected militants fired on Army survey party in Seer Jagir area on Saturday.

Sources said some gunshots were heard in the area when an army party of 42 RR was conducting door to door survey collecting details of the inhabitants at Seer Jagir Village, some 8 kms from tehsil headquarter Tral.

However, no casualty was reported from the area.

Reinforcements were rushed to seal the escape routes, the official said, adding that there was no fresh contact with the militants and hinting that they had managed to escape.
