Srinagar: Distancing itself from the remarks made by militant commander Zakir Musa, Hizbul Mujahideen Saturday said that it doesnt subscribe to the views of Zakir and these were his personal remarks.
Pertinently Zakir Musa on Friday warned Hurriyat leaders that their heads will be chopped off and hung in the Lal Chowk here for interfering in the militant group’s “struggle for Islam”.
Hizbul Mujahideen spokesperson, Salim Hashmi in a statement said on Saturday that Hizb was evaluating his (Zakir Musaa) statement and the group will not shy away from taking any extreme step in the interest of freedom struggle.
Whole nation is united after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani and has been running this freedom struggle and at this point of time, such provocative statement will only help anti-freedom forces and it will give a death blow to the struggle, the spokesperson said.
Throwing its lot behind the Hurriyat leaders, the Hizb said that they and the people of Kashmir are taking the movement forward through their united efforts and that in these circumstances any provocative statement or step could prove deadly for the movement.
“Thank God, after Burhan Muzaffar Wanis martyrdom the entire nation and the leadership are showing unity on all fronts with a view to take this struggle for freedom and Islam to its logical conclusion. In these circumstances, any anarchic step or statement can only prove detrimental to the movement and strengthen the occupational imperialist,” Hashmi said.
He also appealed freedom loving people particularly youth to counter the negative anti-movement propaganda of some media houses.
