Srinagar: Basharat Ahmad displayed all-round heroics as Khonmoh XI edged past Rizwan Royals in a nail-biting finish in the fourth quarter final of Budgam Premier League played at Sheikhpora Playground Budgam on Friday.
The two run victory meant Khonmoh XI became the fourth team to qualify for the last four stages.
Batting first, Khonmoh XI posted a decent score of 144 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The Khonmoh XI innings revolved mostly around Basharat’s 62.
In reply, Rizwan Royals made a good fist of the chase managing to reach 142 for the loss of nine wickets, falling short by two runs.
Basharat took two wickets. He was declared man of the match for his all-round brilliance.
