SRINAGAR: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, Wednesday chaired District Development Board meeting of Budgam district during which a CAPEX budget of Rs 184.79 crore for year 2017-18 was approved.
Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Legislators, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, Aga Syed Rohullah, Aga Sayeed Mahmood, Ali Mohammad Dar, Saif ud Din Bhat, Vice Chairman SICOP Ali Mohammad Mir, District Development Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, Heads of concerned Departments, and other concerned were present in the meeting.
The Minister, who is also chairman DDB Budgam, took a detailed review of the decisions taken in the last board meeting and directed for evolving objective mechanism to ensure full implementation of all the decisions in letter and spirit so that the benefits percolate to the grassroots levels. He expressed satisfaction over the implementation of previous decisions.
He assured the meeting that the core issues raised in the meeting like construction of bus terminal, shops, fire service station, establishment of PDD and Irrigation Divisions will be looked into on priority. He said the Government is commitment to provide better health, drinking water facility, quality education and road connectivity to the people of the State.
Legislators, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, Aga Syed Rohullah, Ali Mohammad Dar, Aga Sayeed Mahmood and Saif ud Din Bhat also spoke on the occasion and projected various demands of their respective constituencies. They demanded for timely implementation of decisions of previous Board meetings.
