Anantnag:-The Kashmiri students studying in various colleges in Dehradun Uttrakhand have alleged that they are forced to pay extra fee for completing their semesters.
Talking to Kashmir Observer one of the student studying in Dehradun alleged that the college authorities forced him to pay extra fee. College authorities told me to pay the extra fee or they will not allow me to sit in the examination, he said.
A student from south Kashmirs Pulwama alleged that in Sai Institute of Paramedical and Allied Science College some consultants from Kashmir loot students during admission sessions. He said that a consultant from Kulgam area took 45% extra from college fee from him.
Students alleged that some Kashmiri consultant agents are hand in glove with the college authorities and in turn loot Kashmiri students.
According to students there are clear cut instructions from the Garwal Central University Uttrakhand to take the normal fee from students, but to their surprise and shockthe college has been demanding 20% or 50% extra per year from each student.”In the name of education, were being looted, “said students
This is injustice towards us. We are not in a postion to pay extra fee. The government and University must make the college authorities accountable so that they cannot loot us, said students
The students have appealed the State Education Minister to look into the matter.
