Srinagar: The J&K High Court Bar Association has demanded the arrest of army men involved in the beating of a family in the Bomai area of Sopore, in northern Kashmir.
Taking a strong exception to the atrocity the Bar Association strongly condemned the manhandling of four female members including an MBBS student by the Pazalpora-based 22 RR Camp, who reportedly, on the pretext of conducting some survey, entered their house and not only misbehaved with them but also slapped one of the inmates and dragged her out of the house by the hair along with other female members and thereafter beat them mercilessly.
In a press statement, the Bar Association demanded that the police station Bomai which has already registered an FIR No. 37/2017 in the matter, but have failed to provide any protection to the family, should immediately arrest all those army personnel, who have committed the crime and file a report against them in a court of law.
