SRINAGAR: The four-day Rope Skipping/Jump Rope championship for boys and girls of different age groups began Wednesday at Indoor Stadium, Srinagar. According to a statement from Youth Services and Sports, organisers of the championship, as many as 300 skippers from various schools of Srinagar district participated in the event.
The championship was inaugurated by senior physical Master Of department Zahoor Ahmad Rather. Manager Indoor Stadium Sheikh Tulal was the chief guest. BHSS Palpora took the boys event in the U-19 category bagging seven medals. Kashmir Haward were the winners in the U-17 event pocketing 14 medals while Legends School bagged 12 medals to take U-14 event.
