SRINAGAR: The sports activities in Islamia College of Science and Commerce continued Tuesday with its physical education department conducting two games in Inter-Group Football tourney. ICS Whites and ICS Reds had winning start to their campaign on the opening day of the tournament played at the college ground.
Powered by a goal each from Hyder and Burhan, ICS Whites piped ICS Blues in what turned out to be a lopsided affair. Hyder got his side off the mark in the 30th minute and Burhan doubled the lead at the start of the second half in the 46th minute. The final reading read 2-0 in the Whites favour.
Sufair scored a solitary goal which proved to be difference between the two sides as ICS Reds beat ICS Yellows 1-0. The decisive goal from Sufair came in the 37th minute with no goal scored on the either side of the winning moment.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Abid Mirza convener college sports committee
Today ICS Greens will take on Whites and Reds will be locking horns with ICS Oranges.
