Srinagar: Reacting to the scrapping of by-elections to Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir Tuesday flayed both State & Union Governments who according to him, failed to create a conducive atmosphere in the valley.
Mir, who is in the fray for Anantnag seat, also said both the Govts could not conduct the elections citing the reason as deteriorating situation, this shows how the situation is grim and out of control.
This also shows that the ruling dispensation has accepted that it has miserably failed to handle the situation, which is more serious and anguishing, he said in a statement.
The scrapping elections points towards a very dangerous situation, he said adding the Central Govt could not provide the security required for conduct of Elections and it adopted dilly dallying tactics to save the already dented image of PDP-BJP coalition Govt in the State, Mir said.
