Srinagar: A complete shutdown was observed on the third fourth consecutive day on Tuesday in Maisuma area of Srinagar against the continuous detention of a local youth allegedly under Public Safety Act (PSA).
The authorities had slapped the fifth PSA against the local youth who is under detention at Kotbolwal jail in Jammu from past several months, the JKLF spokesman had said.
All the shops, business establishments and schools in the area remained closed while the traffic was thin on the roads.
Witnesses said that the authorities had erected concertina wires on some roads leading to Maisuma area.
However, the pedestrians and bikers were allowed to pass through the road. (KNS)
