Jammu: State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has taken cognizance of the alleged disproportionate use of force against students at Degree College Pulwama last week. The Commission has also sought report on recent incident where a youth was allegedly tied to a security forces vehicle in Budgam area of Kashmir and has sought report from Police regarding the matter.
A SHRC spokesperson said that the Chairperson, Justice Bilal Nazki took cognizance of the matter and directed SSPs of Pulwama and Budgam to file detailed reports regarding the incidents before the Commission within two weeks.
