Srinagar: One person was killed and another was injured in firing by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Pulwama tonight.
Official sources said unidentified gunmen opened fire at Qasbayar in Pulwama, resulting in injuries to two persons.
Both the injured were immediately taken to a hospital, where one of them, identified as Bashir Ahmad Dar, was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, the gunmen managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
