SRINAGAR: Noor Mohammad Hajam was elected as the president of District Football Association, Baramulla. According to the press statement issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, the elections were held at Sports Stadium Baramulla in which Hajjam was elected unopposed. Khurshid Tariq like his president was chosen unopposed as secretary with Shabir Ahmad Halwai bagging the post of a treasurer. The new dispensation was chosen for four years.
The elections, the statement said, were held under the supervision of senior vice-president JKFA B A Shah with president DFA Srinagar Fayaz Ahmad Sofi and members of the JKFA-Mohamad Shafi Nari and Tariq Madni-also part of observers panel. As many as 65 votes were polled in what turned out to be one-sided election.
