Baderwah: Three persons, including a forest department staff, were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district tonight.
The car, which was on its way from Bhaderwah town to Manthla, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on a sharp curve near Pounra village, 11 km from Bhaderwah around 9.30 PM, police said.
The villagers took all the five passengers to a sub- district hospital in Bhadarwah, where doctors declared three of them, including the driver, as brought dead, a police official said.
“The driver perhaps lost control over the vehicle, which rolled down a 100-feet-deep gorge,” the official said, adding, “The two seriously injured are undergoing treatment. One of those who died was an employee of the forest department.
