Srinagar: Unidentified burglars made an unsuccessful attempt to break open an unguarded J&K Bank Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources said that the burglars entered the ATM late last night at Malangpora in Pulwama and made an unsuccessful attempt to break open it with hammers and cutters.
However, they said after the burglars were unsuccessful in opening the ATM, they damaged other property, including the CCTV camera.
A case has been registered and investigation taken up, they said, adding police is taking help of technical experts to retrieve the footage of the ATM to identify and nab the accused.
