Handwara: Awami Itihaad Party today registered a complaint in police station Rajbagh seeking lodging of FIR against various office bearers of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries including their president Rakesh Gupta for their open threats to murder Rohingya refugees in Jammu.
Party Spokesman Inam-un-Nabi submitted the complaint before SHO Rajbagh. The complaint seeks action as warranted by law against JCCI for spreading terror and threatening peace of Jammu province.
Meanwhile party Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed while addressing various meetings in Handwara has condemned the threat given by JCCI. Er. Rasheed said The harsh language and death threats given by JCCI office bearers to Rohingya Muslims is yet again a strong evidence to believe that the state administration has nothing in its control and law of the land is sub servant to these communal and radical forces.
State Govt. must take immediate concrete measures to protect the Rohingya refugees as all international laws provide them few basic rights and it is duty of the Govt. to ensure that their life and property is protected till atmosphere turns conducive for them to go back to their ancestral places. Govt. must book the office bearers of JCCI for the serious offenses they have committed by crossing the redline, who were otherwise supposed to be respectable and non communal law abiding citizens.
